Another photo of Burano. The rainbow flag on the lilac house says "peace" and is part of an Italian anti-war campaign, which - judging by the number of flags
I saw in Venice - has been very widely taken up. The campaign homepage is here. It's in italian,
but the message is fairly clear.
You don't need to wander far off the tourist track to find peace and quiet even on the main Venice Island, though.
