Binary Numbers. A rather fun, and hopefully seductive Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me slashfic. Proving once again that I can't have a silly idea for a story without trying to make something serious out of it. ;)

30th September 2004
Finally, an absolutely whopping improvement on the look of the site: I've greened up the purple, Arialled the Verdana and capitalised the non-capitalised.
I've also chucked the guestbook, as no one was signing it anyway.
I'm really looking forward now to the time when I know how to do, you know, tables and margins and clever things like that. Yay. :)

27th September 2004
Drawn From Life: At long last, some Lord of the Rings fic! It's a three-part, pre-Quest gen story, focussed around Merry, Pippin, Frodo, Sam, Fatty Bolger and Folco Boffin.

24th September 2004
Look Me In The Eye: A highly spoilerific, dark and slashy Lyon's Den story, written for Starfish for her 25th birthday and added to the Library.

8th September 2004
Satellite: A dr vegas slash drabble written for Abigale and added to the Library.

6th August 2004
Two more ficlets written for the ficlet meme: Giver of Gifts (a rather evil little piece of Shakespeare/Silmarillion crossover slash) and Ten Things I Dont Like Abot Haggrid (Harry Potter/Red Dwarf crossover slash - I know, I know...)

27th July 2004
Two ficlets written for the ficlet meme: Daisy's Wondrous Idea (a gentle piece of daisy pulls it off femslash) and For I Will Consider My Friend, Joshua (more West Wing, this time a very highbrow Josh/Sam songfic!)

23rd June 2004
And yet another West Wing fic! this one's called Times and Distances. A Sam and Josh friendship fic.

22nd June 2004
Another West Wing fic. This one's called I'm No Heroine. CJ-related drabble.

20th May 2004
Another new story in the Library. It's called Distillation, and it's an extremely angsty and slightly slashy West Wing little fanfiction.

25th April 2004
I've added three old pieces of writing to the Library. There's The Door, a little piece of weirdness that I came up with last November; The Avebury Vigil, a non-fiction account of a peace vigil I attended over a year ago now; and an additional link to my final year Lord of the Rings dissertation, which is already linked to from The Forest of Doors, but I thought could do with a link from the Library as well.

16th April 2004
New story in the Library. It's called What She Doesn't Say; it's a short West Wing drabble.
I definitely need to do a big overhaul of the whole site soon. I'm no longer too happy with the colour scheme, or the layout. Need to think further on this!

29th January 2004
Long time no update! Just uploaded a couple more pictures to the pretty boys. Enjoy!

27th November 2003
Added the latest Lord of the Rings fanfic recommendation at Rings Links. Also a link to West of the Moon - a rather promising looking fanfic archive.

A while back I also added some pictures from our housewarming/King Lear readthrough. I have yet to link to them from the main part of the site, but in any case you can find them here.

15th October 2003
No big news, but there have been a couple more of the "weekly" (*coughs*) Lord of the Rings fanfic recommendations at The Lord of the Rings links page. In future I probably won't bother to mention those additions on this page - but I am going to try and update it weekly rather than twice a month!
A few days ago I also added a link to The Computer of Death from the Forest of Doors. I have plans for a future overhaul of the site, as well as good deal more content. Watch this space...

15th September 2003
No time for any big additions, but I have updated the "weekly" Lord of the Rings fanfic recommendation, here.

6th September 2003:
A long absence for various reasons - been busy, not been too well. I've cancelled my subscription to eXTReMe - their service is perfectly good, but it seems that Chris has been laying on free tracking for us all anyway. *boses him* I'll be tidying up the html connected with that soon - nothing that visitors will notice, though.
Other, most interesting stuff I've done today: finally uploaded The Computer of Death, which is a spoof-Star Trek episode that I wrote aged about 15. I've deleted the poetry page and moved all the poems to the Library, for ease of navigation.
Also finally updated my "weekly" fanfic recommendation in the Lord of the Rings links section and tidied up a little of the html.

6th August 2003: additional
Have changed my tracking system to eXTReMe, and bought a paid account (for my sins). This means it will be invisible and private, which is quite nice, but the main advantage is (I hope!) multiple page tracking that actually gives me the information I want about visitors - where they've come from and which pages they look at!
I'm in the process of putting in the correct codes, I've also tidied up the html on quite a few pages, added needed navigational links and similar stuff.

6th August 2003
Finally put my dissertation on The Lord of the Rings available for download from The Forest of Doors.
The dissertation was written when i was extremely ill with M.E., in a state of great disillusionment with the University of Cambridge English degee course, and with a very ambivalent attitude towards my own academic abilities. It got a low(ish) 2:1, which is about right. So don't expect a work of genius - though I admit that I am quite fond of it. :)

4th August 2003
Added two more pretty girls to the Land of the Pretty People, and added a few more pictures of Amber Benson to her page.
Added this week's fanfic recommendation to the Lord of the Rings links page. Also added a direct link to the guestbook from The Port, in the hope that more people will sign it!

3rd August 2003
Added pages about the Lord of the Rings readthrough: a front page here and a page here containing two photos taken by Ixwin.
Have also updated The Forest of Doors accordingly.

25th July 2003
Added two more pretty boys to the Land of the Pretty People.
Tidied up some more links. Added a picture to The Holy Mountain.

24th July 2003: additional
Quite a bit of work: added pictures to the Lord of the Rings links and League of Gentlemen links pages; some actual links/fanfiction recommendations to the former. Improved the navigation on the Forest of doors.
Re-uploaded I Don't Know What it is About Him to The Music Room, as Liz had found some problems while downloading - hope that will have sorted it.
Tidied up a couple of other pages, including adding more links back to the Port from a few of them, adding a link to my Livejournal from My Home Country, etc.

24th July 2003
Added a picture of Camas Nan Geall to the Peninsula. I do really need to get some content for that section done before too long, but at least now there's a pretty picture along with the "under construction" sign...

23rd July 2003: additional
As I was on a roll, I've added a second Pretty Boys page, although for the moment it just has one picture (of Nick, and it's delightful!). I've also added a picture of Amber Benson to the Pretty Girls area. I've corrected a couple of broken links elsewhere in the site, and also added another composition to The Music Room - the song I Don't Know What It Is About Him, for female voice and piano.

23rd July 2003
Well, it's been a long time since I last updated. Today I added a picture of Mark Gatiss to Drawings. I think that the City of Art in general could do with a re-organising, at least once I have a third picture to put up.
I've begun re-organising the Pretty People pages, ready for adding some pretty people! The picture-links from the front page of the section now go to different pages, a Pretty Boys page and a Pretty Girls page. After all, not everyone is bi. :)
I've stuck some pictures of Reece Shearsmith in the Pretty Boys section, but in a fairly temporary manner, as I haven't sorted out how to format the area as a whole. Still, little bit of extra eye candy never hurt anyone. :)

1st June 2003: additional
Added another poem - "Trouble at the Office". it can be found here. Have finally put some links on the League of Gentlemen links page.

1st June 2003
Earlier in the week I fixed a broken link in the links page. Today I created The Music Room and uploaded the SATB and SSA versions of All Other Love.

25th May 2003
Added a guestbook to the front page; added links to the front page and to the Fluffhouse from most existing pages; added space for BtVS/AtS, Lord of the Rings and League of Gentlemen links in the Forest of Doors.

Before 25th May 2003
Site uploaded in a rough and ready state, but with a functional general links page; three poems and one drawing in the City of Art; front page of the Pretty People Pages (with a nice picture each of Billy Boyd and Miranda Otto). Also a link to my Which Hobbit Are You quiz from the Forest of Doors. And there'll be more to come!

Back to the Port
