The second of Sylvian and Czukay's two experimental collaborations with Austen-inspired titles. "Flux and Mutability" is the light side, more accessible than its predecessor. The first side "Flux" is a mellow, spaced out soundscape. Some lazy hand-drums and floaty guitar and leectronics underpin the texture, while snatches of taped voices and other acoustic instruments weave in and out. On the flip side "Mutability", a more purely ambient piece, the sound is stripped down to smooth pads that subtly shift and, erm, mutate.
