Moreteyne Manor has a helpful page detailing the location of the Manor within the village of Marston Moretaine here. This is its location using Google Maps, and this is its location using multimap.

Car: Marston Moretaine is on the A421 half-way between Bedford and the M1. To get there from the South, East or North it's probably easiest to use the M1, leaving at junction 13 (Brogborough). From Cambridge you can take the A428 westbound, which joins the A421 just outside Bedford. The AA Route planner is useful for directions - the destination postcodes you want are MK43 0NQ (the manor) or possibly MK40 2AX (our home postcode, if you want to visit or are staying at a hotel in Shakespeare Road). If you want to park near our house in Bedford we have a book of car parking permits for visitor spaces in the local area - call in first and we'll give you one.

Train: The nearest station is Millbrook, on the Marston Vale line between Bedford and Bletchley. This is a little, slow and cute train line on which the maximum speed is 40 miles an hour, but it's rather fun to go on. If travelling from London, change to this line after taking the train to Bedford from St. Pancras, or the train to Bletchley from Euston. Bletchley is also one stop away from Milton Keynes Central.
The full timetable is online at Silverlink Trains. On Fridays, trains leave from Bedford and from Bletchley every hour. In the evening, the last two trains leave Millbrook for Bedford at 8.14 pm and 9.12 pm, and for Bletchley at 8.58 pm and 9.57 pm. Rather early, but Moreteyne Manor is only a 6 mile taxi ride away from Bedford, and trains run from Bedford to London every hour all night.
After you disembark at Millbrook, there's a walk of a little less than a mile to the Manor. See the map here showing the station with Moreteyne Manor circled.

Bus: Buses go from Bedford to Marston Moretaine once every half-hour on Fridays. There's a Bedfordshire bus timetable finder here. From Bedford central bus station (location here, about 5 minutes walk from the train station) you want buses 158 or 159 to Cranfield. The timetable for these services is available here: the 158/159 departs Bedford bus station at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour in the daytime and takes about 40 minutes to get to Marston Moretaine (Beancroft road, see map - the Manor is circled if you scroll South once). The last bus back in the evening is at 23:42. It's also possible to get to Marston Moretaine on the 160 and 165 to Leighton Buzzard, but these only run once a day!
Numerous cross-country bus services stop at Bedford. The most notable of these is the X5 service from Oxford to Cambridge, which has a timetable online here. If taking the X5, note that in rush hour it's frequently 10-20 minutes late.

Taxi: Some local taxi firm numbers are:
A2B Cars 0800 0112862,
AGS Cars 01234 218888,
County Cars 01234 330000,
Daytime Cars 01234 353530,
One Atlas Car 01234 343434.
There are also large numbers of taxis available at Bedford station at any time of the day or night. We reckon it should be about ten pounds to take a taxi from Marston Moretaine to Bedford, although it'll probably be more if you get one very late at night.

Let us know if you have any travel questions and we'll try and sort something out. In particular if you need a lift we may know someone with spaces in their car.
